What the different layers are for:
- Bleed size - This layer shows the guides that mark the full print size of the label.
- Trim size - This layer shows the trim size of the label. This is the actual area that will be seen once the label is printed and trimmed.
- Trim marks - This layer contains the little black lines at the corners of the front and back of the label. These will help you trim the cover at the correct point so your background/design runs off the edge of the label giving you color all the way out to the edge.
- Fold guides - This layer marks the spine/sides of the label that run the edges of the case. You will want to carefully fold the edges at this line.
- Fold Lines - This layer contains dashed lines that are optional once you print your cover. You can leave it active so you have a faint line to show where you should fold the edge or you can turn off the layer.
- Design layer - This is the layer that you should place your cover art on. You would want your background art to run out to the bleed edge as the gold gradient does on this template for color all the way out to the edge.

For standard cases, design and print the full template.
For slimline cases, print only the front cover.
